URGENT: China Earthquake Relief »

Acacia Village Ethiopia
Acacia Village is a brand new humanitarian aid project launched by CWF at the beginning of 2008. Acacia Village is named after the acacia tree which is found all over Africa. It is known as a tree that shelters and protects. Now, with Acacia Village, CWF will be a sheltering and protecting presence for needy children in Ethiopia.

FamilyBuilder Fund Grants
Our FamilyBuilder Fund is a response to the needs of parents who have the heart to adopt, but not always the means. The FamilyBuilder Fund is a financial grant to help cover adoption expenses for parents who adopt through CWA. Grants are made to families on a case by case basis according to need and funds available. As of June 2006, over $37,000 in grant monies have been distributed to several grateful CWA adoptive parents.

KidStart Plan
Christian World Foundation began the KidStart Plan to start children living in our foster homes on a better diet, and to help older orphans make the transition to their new adoptive families. Fresh foods and enriched formula will ensure that these children will receive a more balanced, nutritious diet. Older children will be tutored in some basic life skills to prepare them for the adjustments they will face in America. Ethiopian orphans need a better start in life. Help them by donating to the KidStart Plan.

Past Foundation Projects

Coats4Kids
Coats4Kids began in 2001 to provide children in China, Eastern Europe and Latin America with new warm winter coats. Our first year’s goal was to raise $25,000 to purchase 1,000 coats. That goal was exceeded by $13,000! Since then, Coats4Kids has raised over $150,000, providing thousands of children all over the world with coats, clothing and shoes.

Sunshine Health
Not all Chinese infant orphans are provided the benefits of two very essential elements for a good start in life: nutrition and exercise. Just the sheer number of children to be cared for is a tremendous responsibility and challenge for China’s child welfare centers. That’s why Christian World Foundation has started the Sunshine Health Project, to provide infants with enriched formula and bounce chairs. Formula will help ensure that infants will get a balanced, nutritious diet, and the chairs will aid in stimulating their physical development, both contributing to their overall health and well-being.

The Tomorrow Plan Project
In June of 2004, the Chinese government launched perhaps the largest, 3-year humanitarian aid initiative in history: to provide corrective surgeries to 30,000 handicapped orphans. Christian World Foundation has created a special website to encourage agencies and parent support groups to become sponsors and donate to this worthy cause.

Comforting Kids
China’s Centre of Adoption Affairs grateful for $10,000 gift going to various orphanages to get air conditioning and heating units.

The Safonovo Boarding School Project
Orphans in the Smolensk region of Russia have an opportunity to be trained in a vocational school setting. Safonovo started as an agricultural school, but has stalled due to a slumped economy. CWF wants to help raise $100,000 to effect much needed repairs and strengthen this worthy endeavor to give kids hope for a brighter future.
