The KidStart Plan

Ethiopian orphan diets often lack some basic foods, like fresh fruits, vegetables, whole milk or enriched formula for infants. That’s why Christian World Foundation has launched the KidStart Plan, which will help provide for Ethiopian orphans in two ways: 1. Dietary Plan, and 2. Life Skills Plan.

Christian World Foundation began the KidStart Plan to start children living in our foster homes on a better diet, and to help older orphans make the transition to their new adoptive families. Fresh foods and enriched formula will ensure that these children will receive a more balanced, nutritious diet. Older children will be tutored in some basic life skills to prepare them for the adjustments they will face in America. Both the Dietary Plan and the Life Skills Plan will give these kids a better start in life. Ethiopian orphans need a better start in life. Help them by donating to the KidStart Plan.

Dietary Plan
Your donation to the Dietary Plan will provide supplementary foods to the children’s diets. Donations will be used to provide fresh fruit, fresh vegetables, meat, whole milk and/or fortified formula for the children we care for in our Ethiopian foster homes.

Life Skills Plan
Contributions given to the Life Skills Plan will help retain the services of a tutor who will visit our Addis Ababa foster home twice a week to provide life skills for toddlers and older children. Life skills will include hygiene, some basic English via flash cards, American culture awareness, table etiquette, etc.

A $50 donation can supply milk for 20 children/mo., or fresh fruit for 15 children/mo., or vegetables for 10 children, or meat for 10 children/mo. A $100 donation will nourish 4 children/mo. with premium formula, or prepare several children with tutoring in basic life skills.
